A retired chemistry professor from Youngstown State University. She is currently a substitute teacher at National Heritage Academies. She serves on the Mahoning County Children Services board.

Atty. Lori Shells Simmons

Board Chair

Currently serves as the City Law Director, Youngstown, OH. Atty. Shells Simmons is also avidly involved in the community as well, currently holding memberships on several community boards.

Arlene Floyd

Vice Chair

A retired university administrator with thirty-five years of experience in higher education. She has worked with students from middle school to college in STEM, career and technical education and research-based projects with under-represented undergraduates.

LaShale Pugh, PhD

Secretary

Is the Assistant Executive Director/Research and Evaluation Director at Northeast Ohio Black Health Coalition. She highlights factors resulting in disparities in health outcomes, community-level health and disease patterns, and food justice issues.
